After many years of research and development; Citizen brings to light its latest innovation: the Eco Drive Ring. First presented at the Basel World Watch event in 2009; Citizen made this watch with an innovative  solar light capturing mechanism to charge its batteries. The circular side of the watch is having a role as a design element of the watch.  The watch is seen as a simple design if seen head on, however, the uniqueness is revealed when the watch is seen from its sides. From the sides, you will see an actual solar cell surrounded by a crystal ring.  Additionally, the numbers on the watch's dial, if seen from above they will appear to be simple shaped numbers, yet if viewed from the side, they will have a 3 dimensional shape numbers!
